That was all good fun, wasn’t it? Last week, I brought you the brainsplurge that was Manorhowze’s “What Car Is It Anyway?” competition, loosely based on ScreenDemon’s ‘Whose … is it Anyway?’ series. Now all that remains for me to do is reveal what the cars actually were.

Before we get to that bit, though, it’s on to the winners that we had. It was entirely optional, and just for laughs, but I did get a few people send in the cars that they thought the 15 were, and I’m glad to say I did get a fair few entries that made all the effort feel worth it. Not all were completely right, and a surprising number of people got a car wrong from the first day! I did give as many people as I could a heads up, so they could correct their mistakes. However, with less than 15 people sending me their guesses, everyone gets 50 TSA points.

Those that did get it completely right, on the first crack of the whip were Maggot666PL, EvilNeal, Camdaz, Killascorp and Manorhowze. It could have been a bit embarrassing had Manor not managed it, wouldn’t you agree? So good job, you guys.

Maggot666PL also correctly identified the Bonus Car before anyone else did, but emailed it to me, leaving it to Yzfmike to figure it out and say it in the comments. Both get the bonus 25 points I promised. What was the car? Well, you’ll have to keep reading to find out, if you don’t already know.

For the car reveal, I thought I’d enlist Jas-n’s help to do a special deep zoom photo for us. The results are clear to see below, and it’s pretty fun to just zoom in and out the whole time, picking out different cars. It really is a marvel, and I hope you spot the little easter egg that Jas-n tucked in there somewhere…

The 15 cars were:

Day One: Pagani Zonda R ’09; Ferrari Enzo ’02; McLaren F1 ’94
Day Two: Audi R8 5.2 RSI Quattro ’09; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG ’10; Fort GT ’06
Day Three: Mazda Atenza Sport 25Z ’07; Honda Civic Type R (EK) 97; Volvo C30 R-Design ’09
Day Four: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) ’04; Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione ’08; Nissan GT-R SpecV ’09
Day Five: Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) ’69; Tesla Motors Tesla Roadster ’08; Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione ’91
Bonus: Lotus Evora

There were a few people that went for a plain Nissan GTR when it was actually a SpecV (the clue was in the carbon fibre spoiler). I was going to let people off, but a fair few got that right, so I didn’t! I’m fickle like that. Also, the Atenza is known as the Mazda6 in the EU, so either way counted as correct.

There we have it, quite a good little competition, right? Elsewhere today, you’ll also find the results of the LBP2 Mini Game Challenge, which also finished tonight. However, I did say on Saturday, that this week would have more GT5 based frolics, and I wasn’t lying. Check back tomorrow to see what we have in store for you all…

    • Thank Jas-n for that. He did a fantastic job on that Deep Zoom picture, and snuck it in there when the Turks weren’t looking. ;)

  5. Got them all right but at the time of looking I initially put GT-R for car 12 then went onto the next days cars then came back to it afterwards. I decided it was the SpecV version but because of distractions at the time I sent the email thinking I had updated it. Doh

  9. Excellent, my car bore status remains intact :) I’ll need quite a few more GT5 comps before my TSA points are anything near respectable! Thanks for organising this, it was a welcome distraction to an otherwise uneventful week.

  10. My car knowledge is far from being up to spec. Hopefully the other GT5 comps will run until Sunday because that’s the only time I can do.
