Tower of ARGH SO CLOSE!

14Well I’m simply gobsmacked. Last week I set you the challenge to play the mini-game ‘Tower of Whoop’ in the newly released Little Big Planet 2 and get the highest score you possibly could. By Sackthing, they were high scores!
Almost everyone completely outshone my own best attempt. I personally couldn’t quite string together a consistent enough route and would always narrowly float past a bubble fractionally too slow and lose my multiplier… My top score, then, was a measly 137,993 points.
Most of you that entered comfortably breezed past my score. The top 5 even bested 250,000. Second place had a whopping 359,116 (improved further, but not sent in, to 445,820).
In first place, though, was Aquastyle. If anybody out there fancies checking his score. There’s no need to befriend him. Just call up Tower of Whoop’s leader board and look down till you find the entry for 9th place. That’s where you’ll see Aquastyle with a completely ridiculous 828,073! I’m utterly astonished at how anyone has managed to get a score like that. He is truly a master of LBP’s floaty physics and he deservedly has won himself the Sackbot figure.

Humhum, I won alright! Probably spent atleast 5 hours doing this over and over until I got that score, managed to accumulate a multiplier all the way from the very first to the last bubble. Phew, totally worth it considering the awesome Sackbot-prize! Thanks Tef!

Congratulations, that’s a truly incredible score. To get all the way to the top in a single score multiplier is quite an achievement.

I spent about 2 hours doing the level before getting a decentish score. I looked at the leader board and saw your score.
