A trailer for the upcoming game-of-the film ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ has arrived and shows, well, not much. Bumblebee transforms into a new ‘stealth force’ mode which is one of the new concepts for the film. You can tell this is a Michael Bay concept as his idea of ‘stealth’ is for an already conspicuous bright yellow Camero to sprout massive guns.
The good news is that Activision have handed the game to High Moon Studios, the team behind the rather good ‘Transformers: War For Cybertron.’
The movie will feature the usual characters (Megatron is a truck this time) and joining them will be Shockwave (Cybertronian tank), The Dreads (generic Decepticon SUVs), Sentinel Prime (fire truck), TopSpin & Roadbuster (NASCAR cars), Whirl (helicopter) and making a welcome return from the first movie, Barricade (Decepticon police car), who was last seen in the freeway battle in TF1 and then vanished for the film’s climax and subsequent sequel. Maybe he got a parking ticket.
I may have been slightly glib in my comment about Bumblebee’s new ‘stealth mode’ as you can see from the recent Superbowl trailer the Transformers are making their presence quite obvious.
