505 Games’ upcoming ground and pound title, MMA Supremacy, is breaking new, well, ground by including female fighters as part of the grappler’s roster. Women scrappers Felice “Lil Bulldog” Herrig and Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez will represent the fairer sex in a world’s first for an MMA title.
Ricci Rukavina, CEO and Creative Director of MMA Supremacy developer Kung Fu Factory, said:
Female fighters are not represented in MMA games and face a giant glass ceiling in the fighting world. We’re proud to be a part of raising their profile and giving these tough-as-nails fighters their due in the virtual cage.
MMA Supremacy is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this June.

Having looked at the top down screenshot, it just looks wrong. The devs have put breasts on a male figure, given them long hair and said, we’ve got female boxers….zzzz

Pretty sure this game is going to suck a big one. EA MMA was a joke and this isn’t shaping up much better. I will give them kudos for adding females. I’ve watched the ladies slug it out on Strikeforce and they are brutal. I know female MMA fans, like my girlfriend, will appreciate the nod.
