So far we have been impressed with what we’ve seen of Resistance 3, and it seems you have been too. Some (possible) ninja has managed to capture several minutes of multiplayer footage from a recent Insomniac Games community event.
Sadly the game isn’t out until September. Which is an age away.
You can read our hands on impressions of Resistance 3 here.

this looks good actually. The first vid didn’t impress me but the lighting on this looks excellent. Gameplay looks good too

The graphics are a HUGE step up on R2, that’s for sure. Very impressed by that.
I’ve said this quite a bit over the last few days, but if you want a feel for R3 today, then just head into R2. At best you might get a 12v12 match in matchmaking, but usually it’s 5v5 or so. Definitely feels a lot better than the 60v60 nonsense did.

It was 30 v 30 in R2, but I didn’t think it was ‘nonsense.’
I found it quite fun, but it wasn’t in any way similar to R1 alright.
The game R3 looks most similar to R1 tinged slightly with COD.
In other words, the online looks very, very good. I hope they bring back the split-screen multiplayer from both games- the standard split-screen from R1, AND the ability for two to go online at once from R2.

Definately agree that 30v30 wasn’t nonsense, more people to kill, which means you’re less likely to have to find the action and getting killed by the same person.
Havoc on a good scale is definitely better.

Was so close to getting a beta, had to answer a question right… I spelt it wrong! Ah well, guess I have to wait like everyone else.

I spelled it right, but they weren’t following me so my mention didn’t count, you had to DM! I was there right on the dot aswell, would have gotten a code. They don’t get the codes until the beta launches later in the year, and I’m pretty sure there will be a PS+ beta too.

This looks amazing. I can definitely see myself spending a lot of time on this, despite the COD feel it gives me

Why is the writing on buildings in French? Theres mention of “Salle de Commande” (control room) and “Douche” (showers). From whats been said I thought the single player was still set in the USA. Does this mean there’ll be a return to Europe in single player? Or a trip to Cananda? Normally multiplayer maps are based on single player levels.

Multiplayer is based in different global areas. That map is suppose to be based in Chad, I believe.
