Brink To Launch A Week Early

10Finally, some good news regarding release dates.
Bethesda have today announced that their upcoming parkour-flavoured first person shooter Brink will hit retail a week earlier than planned.
EU gamers will be able to grab a copy as soon as May 13th, launching three days earlier on May 10th as usual across the pond. The reason? Bethesda marketing rep, Pete Hines, explains:
Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn’t see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready…
It’s apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier – we’re going to.

Isn’t it backwards. In a timeline, the launch jumped backwards. If it had been delayed, it would go forward in the timeline and be forwards. ARGH, too confusing!!!!!

im leaning more to brink atm, especially as no mp details released for rage as yet.

Ahhhh, the inFamous move, eh. Infamous did it in 09 to avoid Prototype, Alan Wake did it last year to avoid RDR, and now Brink is doing it.
