Zelda 3DS Gets “Boss Challenge” Mode

Oh, that's the new feature!

Today Nintendo Life put out a post claiming that, via an official email from Nintendo, Ocarina of Time 3DS would contain a ‘Boss Challenge’ mode in addition to the original and Master quests.

“Fans of the original game will be pleased to know that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D also heralds the inclusion of two brand new additional challenges not available in the original game; Master Quest and Boss Challenge,” says the site, citing a promotional press email.

“The new Boss Challenge mode acts as an extra treat for those players who reach a certain point within the game,” it continues. “It will provide players with the opportunity to face any of the previous Bosses they have defeated once again, or, the option to face and confront them one-by-one, all in a continuous battle.”

This must be the bonus content hinted at previously – and it sounds wonderful.

We haven’t received the email yet, but we’re checking with Nintendo right now.

  1. If my memory serves me, this sort of feature was one of the things I loved about MGS2:SOL

  3. I quite like that–I was always a little disappointed I could only fight the bosses in Zelda games once. I particularly like the idea of a marathon battle against all of them.

  4. Cool…..

  5. Nice, but nothing to get too excited about.

  6. This would have been worth it, if the bosses were actually difficult in any way.

  7. Eh, im more of an easter egg man.
