Wednesday’s rolled around again, and with it another batch of things to buy from the PlayStation Store.
There’s some PlayStation Plus bonuses – 100% off a MAG map pack (and the same off two SOCOM DLC nuggets), 75% discount off PlayStation minis game Young Thor and 75% discount off Braid, and there’s the third map pack for Killzone 3.
Look out for a Sonic Generations demo too – although that’s tomorrow. You can read what we think of the game here.

Thats a pretty decent pile of stuff, and is that the old Alice game or the new one? The old one was just superb :)

It’s the old one i believe – It comes as a bonus for those that purchase the new one apparently (so assume that its been put on the store for those who aren’t buying the new one).

Yes, it’s the original Alice. However, it is NOT a full game, it’s DLC for Alice:Madness Returns. The original is launched from the in game menu of Madness Returns, not the XMB. This is purely for people who buy Madness Returns pre-owned.

no its the first game in HD what are you talking about?

It’s listed as DLC on the US store and (as far as I’m aware) XBL. I don’t know why they’ve listed it as a full game on the blog.
I have Madness Returns, and the original is only accessible from the in game menu. EA have classed it as an online pass on the slip of paper with the redeem code on … even although there’s no online component.

not launched from the game until you type in the code & download 900 MB.

100% the first game.

Er … yeah. I didn’t say anything to the contrary. What I’m saying is you can’t play it without owning Madness Returns.

I’m pretty sure rimjaw is wrong and it’s the first game complete for anyone that wants to buy it.

Who wants to risk it?
Who’s putting their cash up as a gamble?

Because, when you install it, it goes into Game Data, just like DLC. There is no XMB game icon for it.
I know because I have it, I’ve already played through it.

I have it as well there is a chance you might be wrong when it goes live it will say.

There is a chance, but I very much doubt it. As I said earlier, it’s on the US store and XBL as DLC, why should it be any different for us (EU/UK).

I don’t have Madness Returns, and AMGA is not on the store (Norway)

just looked you can download it to play.

I thought that Alice was a PSN full game download as well when I read the blog post. But the fact that it’s been under add-ons on the US store since last week without a PSN game version being put up, and that it’s listed as a Game Pack on the UK store leads me to conclude that it is only an add-on. Also if you own Madness Returns & have downloaded Alice for it the one that went up today has a red baggy beside it, meaning you already own it. Ergo it’s not a full game but an add-on that lets you play the full 1st game from the 2nd game.
Look no further than Online Pass, as Alice has no multiplayer EA had to put in something to justify their silly scheme.

Thats a decent price for Hot Pursuit. Easily the best NFS game in years and only a couple of quid more expensive than the disk version :)

easily the best? I have it and hate it, give me underground 1 and 2 any day, they are the best NFS ever

No Skarlet? :-(

Bit of a pisstake now in my opinion, the Klassic Pack is 3 weeks late and no sign of Skarlett, I hope we aren’t left waiting as long for all the DLC.

The price is ridiculous as well, I’m sure it was $4.99, so how that translates to £5.49 is beyond me.

That price tag is ridicolous. I’m boycotting any DLC until Sony doesn’t make us pay as fellow XBoxers did THREE WEEKS AGO.

The whole autolog thing on NFSHP is pretty redundant now since nobody ever plays the game any more. Shame, because I got it from Lovefilm a couple of months too late. Makes the game a lot less enjoyable.

That’s a pretty damn good price for the KZ3 map pack bundles aint it? Think I’ll be picking that up, each map pack came with it’s own trophy list too so there’s lots of extra trophies there for me and hours of enjoyment! Activision, that’s how you price map packs lol!!!
