Brand New SSX Character Revealed

His shirt...it blinds!

9EA has revealed the first original character for its upcoming snowboarding reboot, SSX. His name is Tane Mumea, which I hear means “shirt too garish” in Native American. His back-story will be told in upcoming ‘Character Inspiration Blogs’.

I hope they have Psymon & Moby [from SSX Tricky] in it, those were my favourite two characters.

I was thinking about this the other day, For some reason I thought Afro Thunder from Ready2Rumble was a character from SSX Tricky…… but I would love to see him in the new one :D

Luther was one of mine as well but it took a fair while to unlock him. Up untill you unlocked him though Marty was my man.

he looks kinda strange or maybe thats his clothes lol but anyway they have confirmed that Zoe will return and thats the only character i’ll be playing as hehe

Meh, as I am with most/all of EA and Activision’s products, I am distrusting. I’d rather just remember the amazing commentator in SSX, with the creative maps and stadium-like sound effects that really helped engage you in the game.

I’m actually looking forward to this. I would prefer a HD tricky with a couple of new tracks and characters but hey this will do me.

The original SSX was such a great game it hurts, Tricky was too, the dev team videos do show a solid understanding of this – I’m pretty confident this game will be awesome.

Well, most of the memorable classic characters have been announced already (though getting Eddie would be awesome), so new characters are fine by me!
