Welome to another Wednesday, another PSN Store update. This week marks the start of pre-orders for the PLAY promotion, if there were any games involved that were tickling your fancy.
We also see the single player demo of Ubisoft’s Driver: San Francisco, which races on to stores and gives you plenty of opportunity to experience the new “shift” mechanic that allows you to jump between cars (and off car transporting trucks!).
Splinter Cell Trilogy HD makes it downloadable debut, before it hits the shops and it is at that reduced price too. You can get it as a bundle or as individual games.
Elsewhere, the PS Mini we looked at earlier today, Hysteria Project 2 is available (and cheap) and Spelunker HD is live for €9.99/£7.99. On top of that, PS Plus members get a new selection of discounts added to their package.
There are also demos for Madden 12 and El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron so there’s plenty to keep your bandwidth busy.
As always, click on the next page link below to see the entire content of this week’s update.

So who here has played stacking? What did you think of it?
SpikeyMikey23
me personally. Boring as hell. I would defo check a few videos out first
Kevling
I loved it to bits, but can understand why it’s a bit like Marmite.
Forrest_01
Thanks for the input guys – Vids don’t work at work, do you happen to remember if there is a preview on the store?
jonny_bolton
I thought it was excellent. One of my fav dl titles and I’ll be getting the DLC now it’s half price.
DrNate86
Personally I loved it. A bit on the short side but spilling over with charm.
Forrest_01
Ok, so no preview on the store it would seem, but I did Google some vids of it last night – As Nate said, seems to be packed full of charm, but overall I found what I was watching just to be a bit weird & couldn’t work out if it’s something I would actually enjoy or if it would just sit on the HDD gathering (virtual) dust.
Think I’ll do a bit more research before I make a firm investment.
skibadee
Splinter Cell Trilogy for me.
MICKY17
Prepare some HDD space if you are getting SC HD as first game alone is 2.6GB. Presume the others are as well.
Burgess_101
Chaos Theory is 4gb !
The Lone Steven
Only the Driver demo for me. Also when is the import section coming to the store? As i think the update would include what games are available to import.

Just got robbed…never noticed the pricing error on SS Trilogy. Do I contact [email protected] to get my money back…anyone else as slow as me?
hazelam
what is the point of preordering downloadable games?
ok you get a theme, but for that you have to give them the money nearly two months in advance, in the case of the baconing.
how much interest will they get on all the preorder money in two months?
really, that’s their big summer promotion?
we get to buy games and not get them for a month?
maybe i’m missing the point here but are they really expecting us to be grateful for being allowed to buy games and not get them?
Burgess_101
i completely agree its stupid
DJ-Katy
Agree with both of you. Pre-ordering downloadable games has to be one of the most stupid modern gaming economy concepts yet.
gernboes
ok, so where is the splinter cell bundle? the games are all there, but there is no option to buy the bundle… im holding back buying them, because i dont want to have to bite my ass when i later see the bundle would have been cheaper…
(austrian store, btw…)
tactical20
Ignore the disc RRP, if you can wait a month, you’ll clearly be able to pick them up from shopto or whatever for cheaper than the psn store, even with plus discounts.
DrNate86
I’m on the UK store and also can’t find the bundle anywhere?
tactical20
Wow! There’s actually something I’ll download. The Driver demo!
Although reading peoples comments above, I’m not holding out too much hope.
tactical20
Yep, it’s turd.
ron_mcphatty
Nice! Anyone going for the Warhammer game?
hazelam
looks good, but offline only co-op from what i’ve heard.
bit of a stupid design decision in my opinion.
Broonba
Nothing much for me this week again.
I really must try to stop being such an ungrateful bastard.
