Welome to another Wednesday, another PSN Store update. This week marks the start of pre-orders for the PLAY promotion, if there were any games involved that were tickling your fancy.
We also see the single player demo of Ubisoft’s Driver: San Francisco, which races on to stores and gives you plenty of opportunity to experience the new “shift” mechanic that allows you to jump between cars (and off car transporting trucks!).
Splinter Cell Trilogy HD makes it downloadable debut, before it hits the shops and it is at that reduced price too. You can get it as a bundle or as individual games.
Elsewhere, the PS Mini we looked at earlier today, Hysteria Project 2 is available (and cheap) and Spelunker HD is live for €9.99/£7.99. On top of that, PS Plus members get a new selection of discounts added to their package.
There are also demos for Madden 12 and El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron so there’s plenty to keep your bandwidth busy.

I’d have thought that the novelty would have worn off by now with the MX v’s ATV Live, even with the die-hard fans of the game, the DLC seems somehow wasted to me and should have been included in the game, and I don’t suspect it’ll get much of an outing by anyone!
Might try the RF Battlegrounds DLC, nice and cheap and the game was a laugh.
I’ll have to download the Driver Demo as well, seeing as some people are saying that it’s tripe and others are jizzing all over it!
The splinter Cell games look tempting but I think it’ll be more snsible to get the trilogy/collection on Blu-ray.

I didn’t, and then it suddenly appeared. It’s at the top. I opened up account settings and then when I went back, it was there.

I Can’t believe all these comments about driver.
1) Shift Mode is awesome, Its NEW! I mean what is it nowadays. If a game has a new idea that completely changes the way of playing people complain. Yet when they don’t change much people complain. COD is bad for being unimaginative after each game. That is why that is always just the same game but with new maps.
2) Graphics, they might not be great but think of it. Huge open world, Fast cars and a lot of physics. Expect the graphics to be like that.
3) Driving, Beats GTA or Burnout. Great driving experience.
That’s the main problem Ubisoft have with there games, People don’t respect the fact they put more EFFORT into their games than other companies. LOOK AT THE LIKES OF FAR CRY OR TOM CLANCY’S.
