Following on from this morning’s release of Minecraft Pocket Edition – a timed exclusive for the Xperia Play before an eventual wider Android and iPhone release – it has been revealed that EA’s FIFA 12 will also be pulling a similar trick.
It’s not exactly the same deal – as far as we can tell, the iPhone release will be at the same time as the Xperia Play, and only other Android users will be waiting – but it’s another bonus for owners of Sony’s gaming-focused phone. The game will run at sixty frames-per-second (with “polished up” audio) thanks to the Play’s additional power, says Eurogamer.
Xperia Play users can pick the game up later this year, with the wider Android release on 21st February next year.

If ever a game needed hardware controls, FIFA is it. It suits the Xpreia Play though thanks to the new Sixaxis app I will probably grab it eventually.

This is what Sony had to say about the poor sales figures of the Xperia play + games.
“There’s no concerns, it’s a revolutionary device, it’s shaking up the market, we’re very pleased with it,”
This is why Vita hasn’t got a chance of succeeding unfortunately, Sony just haven’t got a clue….

people will be surprised just how well Vita does imo.
