Some New Screens for Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

Dragon age.

Some new screens have been released for the upcoming platformer, Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Despite many not liking the new look of Spyro, the game does have some interesting ideas such as the “cross-platform gameplay experience.”

What this means is that by using the game’s Portal of Power, players will bring their Skylanders interaction figures to life inside the game on any platform.  During console and handheld gameplay, each Skylander remembers skill advancements and level-ups, allowing players to take their levelled-up Skylanders to play on any of the other platforms.

No no, i see what theyre doing here. Media for young audiences ALWAYS have obvious environments, bold colours and stereotypes, so I think they made the right design… AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

These developers couldn’t be less inspired if they tried, there really is no soul here. I’m sure i speak for everyone when I say it’s frustrating to say the least, to see such a loved franchise degraded in ways that only large publishers could.

Cross-platform gameplay is a great idea. The new look Spyro however is not.
