Telltale Games are a studio who seem to have single handedly revived an entire genre of gaming and made it more healthy than it ever was before. The point and click adventuring has evolved slightly, in some titles and the new episodic delivery method has served them well but it’s their clear love of the format that has made their games so endearing.
Jurassic Park is a deviation from that winning formula. This is a kind of adventure game but it’s purported to be less “point and click”. The developers have stated that the third person adventure won’t be a shooter and have even gone so far as to liken it to Heavy Rain, with character interaction and quick time events the order of the day.
They’re aiming for a November 15th release date on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 with all episodes being available to download for PC and PS3 immediately from that date. The Xbox 360 version will only be available on disc (possibly because of Microsoft’s file size limits on XBLA?) and the iPad version will arrive at some as-yet-undefined point in the future but it will be episodic.
The game is said to take place both concurrently and immediately after events of the first film, giving TellTale a chance to tie up one or two loose ends and extrapolate the story a little. Fans will doubtless be eager to learn what happened to that shaving can…

Here’s hoping for a demo, or atleast some meaty in-game footage.
I’m starting to feel optimistic about both this game and the upcoming fourth movie :)
Yeay just in time for the new film :D
It’ll be two years before the new film comes out ;-)

Isn’t the 4th movie a good few years away still?
Lovely news. I’d like to see a great Jurassic Park game and let’s be fair, it’s the perfect film-to-game franchise.
Jawsome xD
Just pre-ordered Jurassic Park Blu Ray trilogy ^^
Novemeber will be our Dinosaurs day lol
Oooh looking forward to this. Here’s hoping it is good.
Bet its ace….
A little bit excited about this as I loved the PS1 Dino Crisis games, it sounds interesting enough with the direction they’re going in with it and Telltale usually turn out solid titles.
