Rune Factory: Tides Of Destiny Gets US Launch Date

If you’ve never heard of Rune Factory before, imagine Harvest Moon crossed with a Japanese action RPG and you’re getting warm. September 27th marks the release of the latest game in the series, Tides of Destiny, which also happens to be Rune Factory’s first outing on the PlayStation 3.

Combining crop management with exploration and a deep layer of relation between NPCs, Tides of Destiny tells the tale of two adventurers as they try to restore their home, Fenith Island, from a foul curse. Though it borrows numerous mechanics from Harvest Moon, there are also a selection of RPG elements at play. For instance, instead of buying livestock from vendors players must capture and tame wild creatures.

It has also been confirmed that Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny will support PlayStation Move. Not surprising really as the game will launch simultaneously on the Nintendo Wii next month too. Natsume has yet to announce plans for an EU version.

  1. Ohhh it has a really nice art style. this might be something I’m interested in, if it ever makes it over here.

  2. I doubt this will make it to the UK. :( I;m gonna go cry now . . .

  3. I loved Harvest Moon and had always heard about this but I don’t know whether I’d like it. If it’s a PSN title I will not be getting it but if retail and it comes to the UK then I’m going to give it a go.
