This instalment in the Max Payne franchise promises to be a grittier affair, if that’s possible. Max is working in the private security sector now but his personal demons still follow him around. Max Payne 3 will take us deeper into that twisted story as Max fights gangs and tries, yet again, to clear his name.
We would expect to see a bit more about this game now it has a solid release window and what we’ve already seen and heard is intriguing. Certainly, Max’s new look and the screens showing his old style stirred up plenty of debate around the internet.
I can’t hide my disappointment that it seems to be smack bang in the middle of traditional GTA release time, though. Are we going to have to wait until 2013 for that? New hardware? Tell us Rockstar!

*shrugs* the only thing that made the old games good was the slow-down effect. something which is found in pretty much every game these days. It also comes out the same months as Mass Effect 3. Pass.

ME3 same month? That’s that decided then – and possibly the same for whatever is released the following month as i’ll still be playing ME3! :)
Apart from the introducing us to bullet-time i don’t really have fond memories of Max Payne’s previous outings. Having said that if the lady in that pic features heavily in the game i may take more interest.. :)

The thing I loved about Max Payne was the gritty, noir style. The ridiculously gruff and apathetic voice, the snowy city at night, the over-the-top metaphors. It was like playing a game of Sin City. This new one seems to have exactly diddly squat of the old feel to it that I enjoyed!

Can we have some more information about it then Rockstar? As there is very little and i don’t trust games that i know very little about. Oh crud, ME3 is released in that month. I think i have only seen the teaser for MP3 and that was a year ago.It is very hard to judge a game on the lack of information it has.

If its a Rockstar game two thing can be assumed correctly, one it’s going to be awesome… and two, it’ll be delayed.

I hope they keep in the same vein as the others, couldn’t care less for another generic all-look-the-same shooter.
