TSA at EGX Sony Talks Vita

As you are no doubt aware, a good chunk of the TSA team is currently holed up in That London for EGX. For those of you that couldn’t make it to the show yesterday, we (being lovely) decided to film the opening presentation – Michael Denny, Sony’s SVP of Worldwide Studios, on Vita – so that you didn’t miss out. Aren’t we nice?

We’ve broken the presentation down into the three main segments (Wipeout, LittleBigPlanet, and augmented reality), and you can find them all below! First up check out WipeOut 2048.

Next we have a look at how LittleBigPlanet is looking on the Vita.

Finally, here’s a look at augmented reality on the Vita, largely through Reality Fighters. There’s also a look into the far-flung future of augmented reality on the Vita.

  1. Sounds like Wipeout 2048 will be on the PSN too then?!

    • note: Exklusivly for PSvita.

      • Watch from 4:07.

Talking about crossplay, he says “Vita version of the game” and then “PS3 version of the game”.

      • I’m sure I heard that there are certain tracks in Wipeout HD Fury that can be played during cross play, but not a PS3 version of 2048.

    • But PS3 can play too? so PSN seems likely..or perhaps a new add-on for Wipeout

      • Wipeout 2048 will include some tracks from Wipeout Fury.So ps3 won’t get anything new.

      • Aaah thats good

  2. Thanks guys loving the look of Vita roll on release.

  3. Woo! There’s me at the front :D i’m on the right side with the slight mohawk type hair and holding the camera up frequently.

I do it for my gaming site http://totalrevue.com

Should have said hello if I knew the guys at TSA

    • bookmarked..

      • thanks for the support! Registration for members is playing up but will fix it. Heading to eurogamer tomorrow so will update again

      • if you guys can support my site I really appreciate it – like us on FB, register as a member or just share us. I’m a university student running it on my own and its hard to balance and would appreciate the willingness to support my gaming website

  4. Vita looks amazing. Wish they’d announce the release date already.

  5. Awesome!

  6. WipeOut 2048 is a day 1 buy for me, also like the augmented reality stuff.

    • Really? Thought the AR stuff looked shiiiiiiit! It seems like demo bollocks that shows off what it can do, but isn’t actually that good. Like all those Move games that came out at release.

Agree about Wipeout though. Proper tings.

      • looking really good love the augmented reality will have a lot of ideas how to use it.

      • How can you not think the augmented reality is cool? This is taking it to a whole new lvl.

      • I agree the augmented reality stuff shown in the vid wasn’t as good as it could have been but it’s what’s possible, like multiple markers, that I really like.

      • Why would you want to play Reality Fighters over Tekken or Streetfighter? It’s a shit game being sold on a gimmick, just like all those early Move games.

      • @tactical20

I guess there are people that say that about Tekken and SF and can see the fun in this? I sure can..

  7. Wipeout is looking great.

  8. Wow. Amazing.

  9. Those videos make the Vita look even more appealing!

  10. The ships sound better in wipeout2048 than they do on the PS3 version, I always thought they lacked some meat I’m glad they beefed that up.

    • That’s what happens when you switch from naturally aspirated engines to something with a turbo. Since 2048 is a prequel, I’d assume that’s what is going on…

Oh wait, I’m talking about F1…
