Further plot details about Dead Space 3 have supposedly been leaked to Siliconera.
An informer previously spilled details to the site that the third entry in the series would ditch its traditional spaceship setting and instead play out on the frozen world of Tau Volantis.
[drop2]According to the site, the game opens aboard a command centre. The Captain of the centre orders returning protagonist Isaac Clarke to rescue a woman from Tau Volantis and return her to Mars.As he is a wanted man and his only alternative is to deal with Earth Gov, Clarke reluctantly accepts the mission.
A further addition set to be in Dead Space 3 is that Isaac hallucinates a shadow version of himself. This ‘dark’ version is set to come equipped with a sarcastic tongue and will continually bait Clarke throughout his mission, criticizing his actions and motives. The shadow will also appear on screen as a separate character.
Those who have played Dead Space would know that Isaac has seen a lot over the course of two games, so you can probably forgive him for going a bit nutty.
EA still haven’t officially announced Dead Space 3 so it seems unlikely we’ll get confirmation of these rumours until that stage.

Sounds good. Isaac was pretty much mad in the second, this only furthers his.descent into madness.
While I cannot wait for this, I hope they give Visceral a long enough time for development, I want another top quality game.

I pretty much don’t give a damn about the story or setting, more Dead Space is good enough for me. Loved both games, bring it on!
My only request would be some co-op levels, even if it’s as DLC.
