PS3 Need For Speed: The Run Gets Exclusive Cars

Bugatti, Koenigsegg and, erm, Lexus.

Stop the press! News about the actual Need For Speed: The Run game rather than the Need For Speed: The Run promotional latte or the Need For Speed: The Run ladybits models.

The U.S. PlayStation blog has formerly announced (after the E3 announcement) that the PS3 version of the game will be roaring onto the console this week with seven extra supercars. The vehicles are:

  • Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
  • Hennessey Venom GT
  • GUMPERT apollo s
  • Lamborghini Countach QV5000
  • Koenigsegg Agera R
  • Lexus LFA
  • Porsche Carrera GTI

At the time of writing there has been no mention of the deal on the European PlayStation blog.

Well, it’s nice that they’re free with the PS3 version as i would never buy additional cars for a racing game. So long as all the vehicles necessary to get the best out of the game are included from the start i don’t see the need for additional cars. I’m hoping it’s turned out well, the demo was enjoyable enough but didn’t reveal the supposedly on-foot gameplay so i’ll wait for some reviews.

“erm, Lexus” – Not really. It’s the LFA, not your standard Lexus, looks amazing too! Other than that, I’d hope this comes to Yurp, annoying when we get cut out.

Yeh that’s good and all but where is Need For Speed Underground 3?!?!
Codemasters and EA need to take tips from Activison and release sequels to Underground 2 and GRID.
