A release date has been confirmed for Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma, and it’s a little more staggered than we are used to. US gamers will be able to get their hands on it from March 27th 2012, whilst those in the EU will have to wait until May 1st.
Kris played through the demo of the game back in October and didn’t seem overly keen, saying “it felt like your fairly average third person hack and slash, although the way it uses your shield was quite nice.”
Still, I’m really looking forward to it.

“the way it uses your shield was quite nice.” Sold! ;)
The trailers have looked good but perhaps they’ve been working harder on those than the game? :D Nevertheless, hopefully there’ll be a demo so I can make my own mind up.

At the Cacom day they didnt even let us have hands on so wasnt worth writing about.
The only thing I remember being interesting is your AI companions are called “Pawns” and you can upload them so other people can use them.
Yes, Dragons Dogma let’s people trade pawn.
Baboom-tish!

I’m trying to remain cautiously optimistic about this. It looks brilliant but I’m yet to be convinced the gameplay will be up to scratch. At least we get to find out how well it goes down across The Pond for a couple of months.

Yeah this game really could go either way, this staggered release is a blessing.
Personally quite liked what I have seen but unfortunately don’t have much trust left for Capcom branded games being any good.
