Rumour: Ubisoft Poll Public for Future Assassin's Creed Locations

Where will the Assassins strike next?

A survey image has popped up, apparently from a survey sent by Ubisoft asking fans where they would like to see the next Assassin’s Creed game to take place.

The image, courtesy of a reader of EmpireStateGamer, shows a choice of 8 different locations. The full list is as follows:

  • The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China
  • The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England
  • The culmination of the Pharaoh Reign in Ancient Egypt
  • The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors
  • The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during the American revolution of the XVIII century
  • The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution
  • The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan
  • The rise of Caesar’s Empire in Ancient Rome

Out of the list Feudal Japan has become a bit of a popular suggestion with Tuffcub even commenting that AC: Embers, the animated short, hinted at a Japanese setting.

Ubisoft are yet to comment on this apparent survey but if they do, we’ll let you know.

They’ve done Rome – they’ll get accused of re-using assets in the colleseum appears again.

Didn’t think about that, but ancient Rome is so much cooler! Gah! Could go back a bit further and do athens or sparta

I’d love to see one of the following settings:

    Feudal Japan
    Ancient Egypt
Invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors

On second thoughts… I’m no expert in ancient Egypt’s architecture but I can’t remember them having very high structures in theiy cities other than temples back then. Sure you have the pyramids but I’m not sure you could build a game with a focus on climbing structures around them… I’d love to be proven wrong.

I actually think all would be great, i’d be more than happy if they were to do all of them, one game at a time, although I have to say, Victorian england would be hilarious, and i’ve always thought a viking one would be good…

As the game was put forward in time with every game, wouldn`t it be logical that location will be somewhere in 18-20th century? why go back in time? As i love egypt, rome…it`s difficult to tell which cities or civilizations i would love to see…. London 18-19th century would be great…Paris the same..French revolution period.

If we’re talking main installment, that decision has surely already been made (presuming next year’s game is the next major installment).

    Double check the actual question:-
“in which of the following historical time periods and locations would you like *ONE OF* the next Assassin’s Creed game*S* to take place”

So this is probably a side-project, like a Vita/3DS/iOS title.

I think Medieval China or Japan would be awesome. Being in ancient Egypt would be pretty cool too.

Personally I’d opt for the Spanish invasion of the Americas, and hope they could rob Vangelis’s music from 1492: Conquest of paradise.

Egypt or China would be interesting. There could be other pieces of Eden to find so going back in time would fit perfectly in my mind. I might even go for a Victorian England (mostly because I come from England and would like to see some English landmarks remade in an AssCreed game)

I did think that myself as well, Victorian Sheffield, Manc and Liverpool could make very interesting locations. Plus the accents would be superb!

I was thinking mostly London. Obviously all the standard landmarks, Tower of London, the dungeons, buckingham, the thames, but you also have a lot of events in Victorian London that could be linked to the Assasins v templars war. Jack the ripper going on his rampage stands out the most as an awesome story they could include.

Pretty sure AC3 development is already well underway, so my bet is this is a fake. Still want it to be London/England though.

It says “one of the next”, not “the next”. So it could well be real.
