Rumour: Monster Hunter For PS Vita For 2012

33If anything is needed to help change the direction of sales of the brand new PS Vita in Japan, it’s Monster Hunter. A game which, according to Nikkei Trendy an ‘industry insider’ is quoted as saying one will hit in the second half of 2012. In one form or another.
Of course, absolutely treat this as a rumour at this stage – we’d imagine all the exclusivity stuff on Monster Hunter 3G is running out so now would be the right time to announce something of this size but obviously there’s a fair amount of salt to be taken with this one at the moment.
The same magazine is also rumouring a ’3DS Lite’.

That could definitely sell a few Vitas! And if it had some cross-platform features with a PS3 version that would be even better!

Monster hunter Ps3 and Vita versions being connected together like Transfaring for MGS:PW or maybe even Cross-platform Co-op!

I’m more excited for a 3DS Lite, especially if it comes with dual analogue sticks. Then I could finally give in and buy one!

Well they need to annonce it fast because for every day that goes Japanese people will buy the 3DS as it have the Monster Hunter serie.

Like many of our knowledgeable community has been saying, a Monster Hunter game for the Vita would be absolute bliss for sales. That’s not to say it won’t trigger a barrage of fantastic review scores either. All Capcom has to do is integrate multiplayer a little bit better.

IF this is announced properly and is happening, it should be epic for the Vita in Japan. The rest of the world, less so.
However, the Vita has a strong launch lineup in terms of Western world titles (apart from Everybody’s Golf, really) which never really sell in huge numbers in Japan, a fact overlooked by every single article commenting on Vita sales….

Interesting. You’d think that, bearing in mind the 4+ million units and the fact they have already got an engine running on the device, Capcom would stick with the 3DS.

I will buy it day one, but it will be released in Japan first.. painfully, I’d love to import it as I love the Monster Hunter series its been one of the greatest games I’ve played. Its changed my life foreveeeer… Since I’ve made the greatest friends from it, the multiplayer is perfect simply because its a blast hunting and getting help to go after that certain material.
It’ll be like betrayal if Capcom just stuck with Nintendo it’ll take longer to be released I fear then I wouldn’t be able to import, they should go multi-platform and get as much sales as they can.
