Bethesda has just announced that QuakeCon 2012 will take place August 2nd to August 5th at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
QuakeCon is a free Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) LAN event which celebrates id Sofware’s games and attracts thousands of gamers each year. As well as the LAN tournaments, QuakeCon has also become a place where new projects by developers part of the ZeniMax Media group are announced, one such example being RAGE which was revealed in 2007.
Those attending QuakeCon 2012 can get a discount for a room at the hotel, which will cost $154 (approx £100) per night.

Nice that this still goes on. Hopefully we’ll see some RAGE DLC, asides from new SP content, it’d be nice to get some more co-op missions as well as traditional DM/TDM modes.

I’d love to get an update on the next Quake game. Rumour was for a return to the slip-gate nightmare world of the original

I’m more interested in QuakerCon where everyone sits about, moans about the amount of pubs in the country and eats porridge.
