With about three weeks until launch, many retailers have started up with PS Vita pre-order bundles. Amazon.co.uk have detailed their plans, and they seem pretty good.
First up, pre-ordering a Vita (WiFi or 3G) will bag you a free 8GB memory card. You can then add one of the following games for £15:
Those who have already pre-ordered will be receiving promotional codes by February 7th so they can take advantage of this offer.
Alternatively, GAME are running offers of a WiFi Vita, select game and 4GB memory card for between £260 and £270. ShopTo have a number of Vita/game bundles spanning both WiFi and 3G models, but none seem to have a memory card included.

Amazon won’t have the preorder pack and you will have to pay extra for quick delivery. The preorder pack alone is worth £25 (£15 for earphones, £5 for Frobisher says and £5 PSN voucher). Plus add in delivery cost and excluding the best games it doesn’t seem as good a deal. Im going for the Game wipeout bundle. It costs £25 more but it’s worth it.

If you don’t care about the headphones it doesn’t matter. And standard delivery should have it arrive on release date regardless.

No it doesn’t. You have to choose the more expensive delivery to get it on launch day.

Nope, standard 1st class delivery (about £2.30) gets it there for launch day (thats my estimated delivery date).
The pre-order bundle pack is a waste of money…. £15 for the headphones?! are you joking have you HEARD them…. probably worth a bout 1$ – awful awful! Frobisher looks like a throwaway 30minute title and the voucher is for a £5 discount! So for that wonderful “bonus £25 worth” of stuff you basically get a £5 discount – er… bargin? Nope.
It’s just yet another example of Game being uncompetitive. Sorry for the tone of this but I just can;t understand why people are so conned by this ‘pre-order bonus”.
Honestly, go online, google the wonderful free blue headphones…see what people say about them (ie they are total crap)..
Spend your cash more wisely…. save it and put it towards a decent 2nd game!!

Oh and I love how my local Game store today were pushy as hell trying to get me to pre-order a Vita…because they were ONLY getting stock to cater for their pre-orders, and they were ONLY getting enough games to fulfil their pre-orders… as stock was so limited….
Now we ALL know that is not the case for Vita. So limited that every shop under the sun is still taking pre-orders… Oh game, oh game! :(

Amazon usually don’t deliver by launch day unless you’re lucky. I can see 1* reviews already. Happens every year with a COD game.

This is all just so expensive. I decided to bag me a 360 as they are so damn cheap. Got me 360, 2 controllers, 2 controller charge unit, halo reach, gears of war, mass effect, alan wake, fable 2 all for £190……
Admittedly I can’t play that on the toilet, but I can live with that limitation :-)
That was from money I was saving for a PSV. Will have to get it in a few years instead.

Good choice :)
I did that about 6 months ago. Theres some great cheap gaming to be had whilst catching up on old exclusives. I’d recommend ‘Splinter cell Conviction’ also. Great game, think I paid about £4 for it ! :)

Play.com do the best bundle. Not only are those games mediocre but Amazon fail to deliver on launch day unless you choose the more expensive delivery option and no preorder pack.

I’ve never had anything from Play delivered on time. No way in hell I’d preorder from them again.

I’ve pre-ordered the WiFi Vita from Tesco Direct (collect instore) for £209 ( plus £2.09 clubcard points). This is using a voucher code for orders over £75 advertised on their web site.
