Young Justice Game Announced

One will rise. One will fall. One will die.

Warner Bros & Little Orbit have announced that they have signed an agreement to produce a game based on DC’s Young Justice franchise. The game, called Young Justice: Legacy, will feature such heroes as Superboy, Robin & Kid Flash, as well as other DC heroes and villains. The story of the game is said to take place between Season 1 and 2 of the Young Justice series with show writers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti collaborating on the project.

Matt Scott, CEO of Little Orbit, said:

“The TV series is a fantastic combination of compelling writing, witty humor, iconic art, and exciting action sequences. The creators have done an amazing job blending over 180 DC Comics characters into their show filtered through a new, youthful perspective.

The new video game contains a slew of cool features and a large playable cast of familiar heroes, but our core mission is to create a unique experience that fits seamlessly into the world of the show and offers a new way to interact with these popular DC Comics characters.”

An official website for Young Justice: Legacy has gone up teasing 12 playable characters who must defeat 12 villains. There’s also a tagline saying “One will rise. One will fall. One will die.”  Young Justice: Legacy is set to release early 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS, though the press release says there are more to come.

That subheading just described what my mondays are like. :p

I can see it being a decent game as i’m sure that their powers are weaker then their adult counterparts and thus can get away with bringing them down to a reasonable level in order for the game to be enjoyable.
