Wipeout 2048 Getting "New Features, Things We Didn't Get Time To Do"

Not a total Wipeout.

Wipeout 2048 dev, Studio Liverpool, has revealed that it plans to support the Vita title by releasing free and paid DLC updates in the future.

In an interview, Wipeout’s Lead Designer Karl Jones said that the team were planning to add new features and content to the title.

We’re not obviously not going to just do paid for stuff, we’re going to do free stuff too. That’s largely going to be things we didn’t get time to do. For example, the AR museum.

We’re looking into other things to enhance the toolset of the game. So we’re looking on to custom controls, potentially some kind of multiplayer extension. We’ve got more stuff to support Cross Play, which I can’t announce anything about yet. So just lots of smaller different things that’ll be coming out in patches and obviously we’ve got bigger stuff coming out in DLC as well.

Interestingly Jones goes on to comment that when it comes to content that hasn’t quite made the cut in time for a game’s launch that “you can release that stuff for free.” Does this mean we see a revival of the previously canned zombie mode for absolutely nothing?

No, doesn’t work for me either. Shame really, cos everything else about the game is marvellous.

Turn wifi off. Then go to Network Operator, click the Vodafone link and go through it all. Should work.

      Failing that, ring them.

This guy is right – turning WiFi off allows the Vita to receive the Security Code via 3G that Vidafone send after you enter the mobile number into the website. Annoying this was instructed, took me a while to sort out!!

I’ve only played the demo but it’s quite impressive and i’ll be sure to pick it up down the line, free dlc is a nice bonus.

Sounds great. I really hope that Zombie mode makes it into the game at some point. Would be cool if they added that mode to a new Championship mode, like they did with Fury when they added new game modes.

I hope they bring in the Zombie mode. Sounded amazing. It’s good to see the future of the game is more content with stuff like an AR museum and the HD/Fury DLC. Would be nice to see some more seasons introduced.
