SCEE Server Maintenance This Saturday

Not the network.

Just a quick heads up that this Saturday will see the SCEE server go down for maintenance from 9.30am until 11.30am.

Just to be clear, this will not have an impact on the entire network, however:

“During this period SCEE hosted online titles and affiliated websites will not be available online.”

Thank goodness they thought to do this during day at the weekend when nobody would be playing.

When I read the title, I assumed it would be saturday afternoon/night, but its good to see it’s just a couple of hours in the morning when I don’t expect many people to be playing.

Judging by the time and date of the maintenance I would assume the phrase ‘Time and a half’ is floating about in there.

It’s not that bad, only two hours on a Saturday morning.
I don’t even play at that time, the earliest for me would be afternoon :)

Ok, who is going to be affected by this? You’re all moaning but who was going to be playing a scee hosted online game at that time on Saturday morning? If its you, what game were you planning on playing?

Quit moaning, if it keeps the network secure its necessary, or would you rather another hack?

If they are having to take down the PSN for security reasons, on a weekly basis they are doing it wrong.

Back in the days of Live and Kicking and SMTV:Live with Ant and Dec, this wouldn’t have mattered at all. Chums didn’t start til 11am.

That’s not right, SCEE not being a pain in the backside? I’m scared. Shouldn’t it be from 6am to 1am?

Although, i would have though that a weekday would have been the sensible option as not everyone is at work on saturday. In fact, probably most people are off during the weekends. But chances are they would be hungover so either way it’s not much of a problem.

Why not Monday though? Would give us a reason not to hate Mondays.
