Hardly a surprise, but it looks like the next Call Of Duty game will be – as everyone thought – a sequel to Black Ops called, wait for it, Black Ops 2.
Picked up by IGN, the news comes via a Target pre-order card which also confirms the game’s date: 13th of November.
The game has yet to be announced by publishers Activision, although it’s meant to be pimped for the first time during the NBA play-offs on the 1st of May.
Expect men in chairs, and cigars.

hopefully when ea stop churning out the same repetitive football,golf,hockey and nfl shite every year…..
Personally i think that the churned out football, golf and nfl is rather good, FIFA is great for a good blast, NFL probably has the best season mode out there in Franchise mode and Tiger Woods is a great golf game. IMO those games are the best representations of those sports that we’ve seen on consoles.
And the sky is blue. Well, except for in England, as it’s always miserable as feck!
Think Blops 2 will be the game that will show if the COD franchise has ran it’s course and should be scrapped or if people still want more COD.

I’m not gonna make a judgement on whether or not i’ll get it til i see some footage. I like the COD franchise but they really need to add something to it this year.

Have there been any spin-offs to the Call of Duty franchise?
I wouldn’t mind seeing something along the lines of a “twin-stick” shooter COD similar to Dead Nation or the Alien Breed games on the PSN.
Also, they should release an ultimate Call of Duty Zombies package on the PSN like Killzone 3 did with its multiplayer.
Dead Ops arcade was on BLOPS and that was a twin stick shooter.
I actually quite enjoyed BLOPS campaign.
Will probably borrow it off a mate rather than buying it though.
Me too. Looking forward to the campaign but I can’t see how they will continue the story round the same characters.

It’s inevitable that I’ll buy but whether it’ll be launch day is another matter. I like Black Ops MP, more balanced and good maps. Making secondary only pistols or launchers, nerfing grenade launchers and Flak Jacket/Tac Mask perks are great.
As long as it doesn’t include yogdog’s Death Machine in Zombies that’ll be fair too.
