Ian Dallas’ four year labour of love appears to be nearing fruition, with rumours of a review this week or the next circulating over the last few days.
We first picked up on this back in 2011, but a report last week from Chris suggested that the game would be published by SCEA and thus locked to the PlayStation brand.
Speculation abound, then, but something has come up today that confirms what we’ve been thinking about. Over on Spanish site El Mundo is confirmation that The Unfinished Swan will have PlayStation Move support.
“The game works with PS Move,” says Dallas, albeit translated from Spanish, “but we can also use the analog controller to play.”
The indie developer says that there’s no release date yet, but it’s expected to be in 2012. We assume that Sony Santa Monica are assisting, at least in some capacity.
Apparently the game sees you following a swan into an entirely white room, and from there the game’s innovate paint-based mechanics come alive.

That video has sold me on this. Awesome!
I wouldn’t really want to use a DS3 for this, much better using a move.
Cool to see a few games coming for the Move just what it needs, games! good ones
Really looking forward to this.
dont regret buying Move now :)
Couldn’t see it being too much fun with a DS3. Still, this and Datura look fantastic.
I fIgure it’s more or less a FPS, so i think the DS3 should work quite well. .. . unless you mean using the Move will make it ‘funner’ ;)
Agreed though – both games look great, very interesting and different!
Looks really interesting
