Sony’s press conference last E3, for me, was a late bus, a free Subway and some American beer, and sitting next to a couple of guys from a major US PR company. And then a batshit insane race against some customised Mustang, across LA, in a taxi driven by Batman.
This year might be a bit more sensible.
Sony, regardless, have kick started the hype train with their ‘invite-only’ minisite,which promises “the future of gameplay and innovation” and the “launch of more than 20 new gaming experiences” – big claims, the former quote hinting at new hardware, perhaps?
We suspect most of these have already been announced beforehand (God Of War, LittleBigPlanet Karting et al) but hopefully there’s going to be some big surprises, and regardless – plenty to play.
The press conference is at 6:00PM (Los Angeles time) on Monday June 4th, and will be streamed live on the PlayStation site here.
Future of gaming?…. They can’t have achieved Avatar-style tech already.. ;O
Really though, i would be happy to hear some news of The Last Guardian.
E3 stream + Red Bull + Popcorn = Night of June 4th. Can’t wait!

Doubt they’d reveal the PS4 maybe a year on? Anyway more games for the Vita would be sweet.
It’s to early for a PS4, the PS3 had a very late start.
I wonder what awesome exclusive Sony could announce, hope it’s a brand new game.
Yep, we won’t see a new console just yet. PS3 hasn’t given us everything, not yet. It would be great if they showed some awesome new IP’s for PS3 and Vita.
2014 is my guess for a realease of the PS4. PS4 (TGS, maybe E3) and Nextbox (E3) reveals next year, possible late 13 release for MS with Sony in early 14.
The hardware is still sound and Sony has enough games coming out for it this and next year to let it run a couple more years. They also has to support the Vita and the longer they hold off a PS4, the better the harware/firmware will be. They won’t be far off Microsoft in release, and both companies will want to make as much money as they can on the current hardware before moving on.
Man fuck a sensible E3 that sounds like the best day ever. every thing i dreamed E3 to be.
Let’s just hope those 20 games don’t take forever to be released eram **cough cough sorcery cough cough** or never get made **sneeze agent sneeze**

Agent is still on the Rockstar website under ‘games to use social club’ so I think it’s coming, it might not be a PS3 exclusive.
Really looking forward to this.
I stopped(myself) from getting hyped by all these gaming/tech shows now because the more you get hyped by reading rubbish(i.e the rumors each year) off most gaming sites the more you will be disappointed + i am happy already! :P i.e with the reveals of LBP:Karting + God of War: Ascension + PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale :P Anything else is a bonus;)
+ There is 1 main thing i think SONY need to do at E3 and that is to say “The PS3 is $199 in the US now” :P
Why do people assume a new console?
Has Vita been forgotten, there is like literally no games for vita after june apart from rumoured games so i’ll just say this year’s E3 will be Vita specific with loads of new games announced.
This I believe is why Sony are announcing all the ps3 games beforehand so they can focus on Vita.
If they announce PS4 it’ll be exact same thing with PSP – luanch a portable then 6 months later announce the next gen home console and forget about it.
Of course I want a next gen console (and I don’t mean catchup console ala Wii-U).
