EA Confirms Mass Effect 3's Rebellion DLC

The other week Mass Effect 3’s next multiplayer DLC was leaked, and it looks like all the information from that leak was correct. The next batch of DLC will be called Rebellion and will include the following:

Two New Action-Packed Maps – Land on Firebase Jade, located in a Salarian STG base on Sur’Kesh and fight to control Firebase Goddes son the Asari homeworld of Thessia.

Six New Unlockable Characters – New characters include the ex-Cerberus Adept andVanguard, the Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, and the Male Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator

New In-Mission Objective – Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.

New Gear Slot – A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs.

New Weapons –  New weapons, include the Cerberus Harrier, Krysae Sniper Rifle, and Reegar Carbine.

The DLC will release on May 29th in North America and May 30th in Europe for free on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Yep, agreeing with above, this is good dlc, though if they didn’t incluude trophies (i don’t think there’s trophies for this) then I won’t bother. Good stuff but with no extra trophies its not for me.

Yeah, it’s all good fun but without any incentive to go further it looks rather meaningless. I mean sure you can promote your people and up your N7 level but it doesn’t reward you with anything, you can as well stay where you were.

Good to see some free DLC. I just wish they would make some singleplayer DLC. Some proper side missions would be great. ME3’s side missions were really just the exact same as the multiplayer levels. It would be good to see some side missions with an actual side story to them, like in the first game.

The sooner the Extended Cut DLC is out the better. I’m still sore about the original ending.
