Metal Gear Rising’s E3 Demo Attract Screen

Heading to E3? Well, if you are you’ll be able to get your hands on Metal Gear Rising, as the video above (which shows the game’s attract screen) confirms that it’s going to be playable.

The game, in development by Platinum Games, will feature cyborg ninja Raiden as the principle character, something that’s divided long time fans of the series who normally like their snakes a little more solid. You know, like Solid Snake.

Rising’s nothing like old sneaky-sneaky Metal Gear Solid games.

Except for the name, that’s quite similar.

  1. I think they’ll be a bit of a queue at that stand, sadly I wont be in it.

  2. I’m definitely in the original-was-better camp, but that did look cool. If I hadn’t been shown the brilliance of MGS:Rising, I’d be in full-psyche mode. As of now MG:Rising is in the, I’m in the will-buy, but not my most necessary purchase this year/next section.

  3. I don’t think i will but maybe when i’ve seen more.

  4. I preffered Rising then Revengance as Rising looked like it would fit into the MGS franchise unlike DMC:Raiden edition.

I hope Rising will be covering the gap between MGS2 &4 as we don’t know what Raiden got up to except for rescuing Sunny and getting turned into the Cyborg Ninja.

    • Dammit, forgot Rising was revengance as i was thinking of MGS Rising from a few years back not DMC Gear Solid. *facepalms and grabs a cup of coffee*

      • Rising was going to cover Raiden’s story between MGS2 and 4. Revengance will be a non-canon story about Raiden post-MGS4. Another reason to despise the latter game than the former.

  5. either he will make horrible sucking noises throughout the game or he will just let it flow and constantly drool over his metal chin with out a lower lip

    • i’d imagine he’s got some kind of drainage system installed in there somewhere.

    • I believe the flowing usually comes after the sucking.

  6. Well that was exciting.

  7. Not sure I’m going to like this game.
