UK Sales Charts: Skylanders Fails To Topple FIFA

The latest entry in Activision’s Skylanders franchise has entered at number 2, an excellent placing for the game, the previous entry only managed to land at number 16 in its first week of release but continued to sell strongly for months afterwards.

Doom 3 BFG edition is new at number 5 and Activision’s second new entry, 007 Legends, just misses out on the top ten and skips into 12th position.

  2. Don’t forget that Skylanders will sell shed loads in the run up to Christmas, as a kids game, and has vast associated revenue streams from the figures which are in-game characters, and come in packs that cost an additional bundle…

    So a single game sale of Skylanders is a completely separate proposition in terms of profits to a sale of FIFA 13…

    • Don’t forget about ultimate team. It made over $50m for fifa 12 alone last year.

  3. I’ve seen a few adverts for skylanders. Not surprised it’s up there. Where were the Starhawk ads?
