Hello again! Christmas has officially started for me as I saw the Coca-Cola advert earlier this week, which has definitely got me in the mood! Only 37 days until the big day, so there’s still plenty of time for you to put off doing your Christmas shopping and play some games.
Anyway, let’s take a look at what happened on TSA this week in the Community Round-Up.
As per usual, you can expect the latest update for the TSA F1 Championship later today. However, since tomorrow night is the final, we can give you a heads up as to who gets to take part. These are Tomjakes, Lee-ma, CarBoyCam, Chuggy, Death_in_Flamez, Ro6afc11, Keaneplay and JamboGT from the Sunday group, and Manorhowze, AshGraham99,Sitorimon, Teflon, Heedbaw, Stanley1664, THLNetwork and Dimjim94 from the Monday group (in Championship finishing order, no less!).
Good luck to everyone who made it through, and in the meantime you can catch up on the previous update here.
We’ve decided to spice up the Friday Fun competition by adding a £10 PSN Voucher to whoever has the most points after 5 weeks. If you got your answers in yesterday, well done to you, but don’t give up as it’s still all to play for.
TSA is also running a Reader Survey, so we can hear your thoughts about what you like and don’t like about the site. The survey only takes a couple of minutes, and, provided you leave your email address, you’ll also be entered into a draw to win a new 500GB PS3!
Moving on to the TSA Meets, let’s take a look:
Monday night sees Youles hosting a Black Ops 2 meet at 8pm, with the usual Max Payne 3 meet at 9pm, hosted by Forrest. The second DiRT Showdown meet takes place on Tuesday at 8pm, again hosted by Forrest. He really is rather busy this week, as he’s also set up a Ridge Racer Unbound meet on Thursday at 9pm.
Friday night will probably see the usual Red Dead Redemption and Assassins Creed 3 meets taking place, but there’s also Motalla’s PlayStation Home meet taking place at 9pm. Just turn up and gab about whatever you fancy.
As always, if you’d like to try and get a group of people together to play a game with you and have more than 250 TSA points, just set up a meet, and chat about it in the forums!
It’s been a bit quiet this week, but let’s begin with Al’s 6/10 review of F1 Race Stars which was released yesterday. Hopefully we’ll see a meet or two appearing soon, or why not take the plunge and create it yourself?
The other review this week was also from Al for Alien Breed on Vita. He gave the retro shooter an 8/10, so well worth checking out if it’s your type of thing and have a couple quid to spare on PSN.
The first preview we’ve got for you this week is Teflon’s preview of Age of Wulin for PC. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a F2P MMORPG set in 14th Century China. We also took a second look at Wonderbook just ahead of its release last week, and heard the thoughts of a member of its target audience.
The Chronicle launched a new feature this week, incorporating the TSA fastest platinum and trophy leaderboards. It also featured MJB’s updated gaming rig, so check to see if you can spot the differences.
Gamoc discussed the issues of morality in his two part piece entitled Degrees of Evil with part 2 here. We also looked to the future when Aran shared his thoughts on where the next Mass Effect could go. Perhaps a different genre of game, even?
Now let’s head off to the Forums to see what’s been happening this week.
- Better get your dinner jackets ready, as GTOWN starts a discussion about this years’ Forum Awards.
- Hazelam takes a scientific approach to investigate download speeds on PSN and XBL.
- Jackster’s hoping that a successful petition could bring back a TimeSplitters HD Collection from Crytek.
- Yogdog has found some absolute steals on eBay. Can you beat Uncharted 2’s Fortune Hunter Edition for $9,999.99?
- It seems to be the month of the kart racers, and Kivi’s wondering which you bought or plan on buying?
And there we are! Have a good week guys and I’ll see you next time!
As per usual, this round-up was pieced together from the past week’s occurrences by Gazzagb.
