No Vita Games In SCEE's 12 Deals Of Christmas Due To "The Lack Of Them"

Oh, that's a shame.

Wondering why there aren’t any PS Vita games in our guesswork about what’s coming up in this year’s 12 Deals Of Christmas over on the PSN Store? Well, it’s simple: there’s a lack of Vita games.

That’s according to SCEE’s Chris Howe, who confirmed the reason for the fact that the deals are all for the PlayStation 3 in a comment on the PS Blog.

“You are exactly right in your assumption,” he replied when asked whether the shortage of Vita deals was because of the console’s currently limited range. “It’s difficult to arrange discounts on Vita titles simply due to the lack of them,” he added, “as the range is still growing.”

We’re not entirely true this is the case – there’s plenty of Vita games that could have been featured (and indeed, many have already been discounted in the past – a condition that doesn’t seem to affect the presence of certain PS3 titles).

Still, at least we know.

Tokyo Jungle is today’s deal, with a 50% saving and an additional 10% Plus discount, although that latter offer doesn’t appear to be working.

Why would they have psp games in the 12 deals of christmas? They will probably be in the normal christmas sale.(aswell as psvita games)

Poop, but not exactly unexpected; there really aren’t all that many games if they don’t want to risk devaluing PS+ for Vita.

Agreed. They need more people with the hardware in their hands right now. Get that customer base on the increase.

There are still the monthly ps+ discounts. They’d mentioned Rayman Origins for this month already which may well be the vita version.

“As usual, you can also expect exclusive PS Plus discounts on lots of titles, including the phenomenal Rayman Origins. We’ll update you on these offers in the weekly Store posts.”

There are sales on the PSN permanently and they normally number far more than the 12 for this “Christmas sale”. I’ll wait to see what appears in the weekly store updates

      Here you go:

      “Rayman Origins – 10% off”

      Not really impressive.

Its lazy, if Steam was running the damn thing stuff like Little Kings Story would be getting discounted or even Littlebigplanet. It just annoys me that PC games can be much cheaper but then theres a huge difference between downloadable console games, its disgraceful and wrong.

But didn’t Uncharted Golden Abyss get a discount or go for free on Plus recently? Sounds like excuses to me, can’t just say ‘We decided not to discount Vita games’?

Oh are they still disappointing people? no real surprise really, did they ever put Crisis Core on the store? I remember that being screamed loudly for quite a while. Itd be nice on a Vita.
