My Plus subscription expired a few weeks ago and I’ve not had chance to top it up, but those of you who regularly digest Sony’s monthly deluge of freebies can rejoice in the knowledge that this month’s avalanche has landed.

Yes, from today you can grab BioShock 2, Guardians of Middle Earth and Mortal Kombat – unless you live in Australia or Germany, where your spine ripping will be replaced by the somewhat more joyful Gotham City Imposters.

Guardians of Middle Earth is a bit of a catch actually for the service – it’s pretty new, good for Rings fans wanting more after The Hobbit and should hopefully boost the online numbers.

Jet Set Radio and Pinball Arcade will follow later this month, but – BEWARE! – today sees the removal of Batman: Arkham City, Bulletstorm and Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, so if you’ve not yet downloaded them (or at least added them to your list) you’ll miss out.

I’m wondering how Plus will carry over to PlayStation 4 – there won’t be the library available to offer for free at first, so I’m curious how they’ll sell the idea…

Jetpack Joyride is listed as free for PS3 and Vita. Just downloaded it and the info says no time limit.

That’s no PS+ as far as I’m aware.

It came out just before Christmas, it’s great on the Vita!

      Yeah that’s just freemium, not PS+ :)

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is definitely on Vita store but it doesn’t state that it is compatible with Vita. There seems to be all sorts of weird stuff going on with the store.

None of does 2 are any mistakes :). SS PSP have been Free for PS+ a few months and Valkyria Chronicles have been compatible with the vita since launch I think.

Anyone else having problems with Gotham City Imposters? It tells me to update to the latest version then resets my PS3 before it even starts downloading anything. Anyone from outside the areas that are supposed to have it got it working?

R1MJAW informed me earlier of this problem he says the fix is to wait 20 to 30 seconds till you hear the game start in the background then press x and it will update fine haven’t tried it yet as still downloading.

I presume the fact that GCI has been made available for Germany & Australia, we’ll now never get it on Plus? Because if it becomes the ‘normal’ game at some point in the future, they’ll be faced with complaints from Australia and Germany that they’ve already had that game. Offering us GCI and them yet another alternative them will just cause the same problem later on.

Shame really, as I’d much rather play GCI than MK.

Look forward to trying the LotR game. And when it comes to the PS4 at launch, maybe they’ll offer unlimited access to PS3 streaming via Gaikai, or something like that.

I hope Plus is well catered for on PS4 as, after making use of the Plus offers lately, I received an email today stating my next renewal date as 5th December……2014.
Assuming it’s released in Europe before then.

My PS+ pie of shame is getting bigger and bigger, but Bioshock 2 is being put to the top.
