Got to be Flexxible.

Sticking to the old British stereotype of complaining about the weather, it’s got a bit nippy hasn’t it? You know it’s cold when you can feel it seeping through the soles of your toe shoes!

Those of you who missed it last week will be glad to hear that the trophy leaderboard is back in full force this week, with all the holiday and new year gaming taken into account. Who’s up, and who’s down?

But first up we have the gaming rigs, this week featuring topgearsam. It might not be the most extravagant set up, but as with last week’s showing from Roynaldo, there’s lovely simplicity to proceedings. Symmetry, too. I like symmetry!

A TV set between two thin bookshelves, and stacks of stuff tucked in underneath it. On the right is the PS3, with a bunch of gubbins to the left, including some move controllers, a white cue ball, PS Vita, phone and a Union Jack emblazoned laptop. That last one had me stumped at first glance as to what it was.

If you’d like to share your own set up, please do use the submission form at the bottom of this page. It doesn’t matter how humdrum you consider it to be, or spectacularly silly, send it in!

A rather hectic week for one or two reasons here. First up, everyone still seems to be playing Far Cry 3!

Bmg_123 finished the SP, but looks like he might miss out on the Platinum as he doesn’t really fancy revisiting the island. Similarly, kjkg just needs the co-op trophies to get the Platinum, and Klart is only a handful away too… Origami Killer, though, has added it to his catalogue.

Youles might not have got himself any big trophies this week, but I’m mentioning him because he joined in with the fabulous and long standing Dirt Showdown meets for the first time. Lovely to see games still being played months and months after release!

Apparently, R1MJAW is a bad lover. That is according to the ending he received from Catherine. Don’t worry, dude, I’m sure Youles was right when he said that “Your choices in Catherine have no relevence to you as a lover in real life.” Hopefully it won’t put him off his A-game when he and Motalla next meet for churning through Dead or Alive 5 online matches. Motalla’s still got 785 to go for his trophy!

Elswhere, Allan_Treebeard completed Arkham City (A game I really should return to, too!), whilst Wilboss finished The Walking Dead and Wonderbook. Crazy_Del got both PSASBR Platinums and Freezebug polished off the Counterstrike Global Offensive Platinum and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. NfS:MW coming after a long time hunting down that final security gate, which was hiding in plain sight!

But the headliner this week is one more Flexxible, who claimed far too many Platinums for his own good over this last week! Cross Edge, Fairytale Fights, White Knight Chronicles and Metal Gear Solid 2 were all claimed for the fastest record boards, but he also has Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Apocalypse, Enslaved, Duke Nukem Forever and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to his name.

Utterly monstrous.

That’s almost your lot this week. You can head over to page two for the trophy leaderboards, but to finish off this page, we have the usual submission form for photos and accomplishments. Don’t hold back!

Actually I’m still just a few coop trophies away from the Far Cry 3 plat, having no luck with the servers. Also tried it with cammanutd but I got stuck in a wall

If i still had my copy and could access PSN, i would help you but not for trophy reasons, would be for having fun reasons. And to wind up you by trying to mount a tiger thus getting killed over and over again. Or do what Tef did and give every vehicle in the game as full MOT complete with a Top Gearesque review.

Talking of community. I’d like to thank Duffybox for buying me FarCry 3 yesterday. You are insanely kind and need your head checked.

    *tips hat profusely*

I watched UP(which is on tonight on BB3) during the week and it was fantastic. Pixar fails to disappoint me and i suspect they will continue to release excellent films. :D Last Pixar film i saw was Brave and that was in the cinema(ours have uncomfortable seats thus leaving me with a dead rear end). Would heavily recommend picking up Brave as it’s excellent and makes up for Cars 2 if you felt it was a bit meh.

Oh and let me describe to you what happened on Demon Souls this week. This is too easy, oh it’s the flamelurker, i should be able to beat it. Okay, i’ve died but i can reclaim the 15k souls. SON OF A MOTHERFECKING TIED DOWN NUG! Screw this, i refuse to play you anymore.

The short version is ragequit. Have started to play DAO again after 3 days of no gaming. Going to fill 3/4s of the spirit school of magic as well as the lighting line of the primal magic. Just for that extra kick.

Oh and last saturday, i bought South Park:Longer, unrated and uncut. Twas a bit disappointing as it had too many songs(they broke into song too often imo) but it is excellent.

Brave was hugely disappointing as a film. Terrible story and thoroughly uninteresting characters. :-(

Nice neat and compact rig, and well done managing to use only one USB slot in your PS3, I always struggle to find a free slot and have to unplug something (with USB expansion connected) whenever I want to race with the wheel!
