Ready The Dildo, Koch's CEO Has "No Doubt" Next Saints Row Is Coming This Year

Just as THQ would have wanted.

Gimp and dildo fans rejoice, it looks like – despite THQ’s collapse, the next Saints Row will indeed appear this year. Speaking to GI, Koch’s Klemens Kundratitz says there’s “no doubt” that both Metro: Last Light and a new Saints Row game will be out within twelve months.

That’s great news for fans of the series left in limbo after THQ went under.

The article, which is a great read, points to Koch being an “ideal fit” for both Metro’s strength in Europe and Saints Row’s required level of independence and creative freedom, something that might not have happened had the likes of EA snapped up the IP.

“I think it would have been daunting two years ago,” said Kundratitz, “but we have really come a long way since we started publishing. Admittedly, we started small and focused on Europe, but we went step-by-step, making bigger bets and making bigger products. Not all of them have been successful, as with any publisher, but it’s been organic growth.”

Successful like the Dead Island torso? “Well, you can’t get every bet right,” Kundratitz comments.

“Sometimes you just have to admit to yourself and your community that it wasn’t appropriate. Overall, Riptide has a very strong tailwind going into the launch, and I think the Collectors Edition will probably be soon forgotten… I think that in the grand scheme of things it’s not so important.”

Great news. I would have been very disappointed if SR 4 hadn’t been released. 3 was such a breath of fresh air.

Oh and our very own Arun must be happy with the Metro news!!

If it doesn’t have a collectors edition featuring a sex toy for your mantelpiece, I’ll be very disappointed.

Good news. Currently enjoying a co-op play-through of SR3 with Teflon. Also, looking forward to Dead Island: Riptide, hugely!

It’ll be penetrating deep into a hole in the market. Lets hope it’s not gash, but a long and suitably hard experience! 8===D — — >_<
