Actor Robin Sachs (Mass Effect's Zaeed Masani) Passes Away Aged 61

Worked on Mass Effect & Dragon Age.

Robin Sachs.
Some sad news has emerged overnight as it has been announced that actor Robin Sachs has passed away at the age of 61.

Robin may be best known to gamers as the voice of Zaeed Masani from Mass Effect 2 and 3, the gruff mercenary who joined Shepard to fight the Reapers. However that wasn’t his only work.

He also provided his voice for Dragon Age: Origins and Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic.

Outside of games Robin was best known for his role as Ethan Rayne in Buffy The Vampire Hunter Slayer, as well as roles in both The Lost World and Galaxy Quest.

Personally I am a huge fan of the character Zaeed Masani, and it’s saddening to hear that the actor who gave such a great performance for such an interesting character has passed.

Our thoughts go out to Robin’s family and friends.

Very sad news indeed. I always thought his character in Mass Effect was one of the most interesting and believable. Thanks for the good times Robin.

He also used to present “movies games and videos” which was a kind of magazine show back when I was a teenager. Sad news indeed.
