Ah, there we are. No need to worry about Sony seemingly forgetting the PSP in their “Evolution” videos – they’re not doing it all chronologically. While the first PlayStation handheld only gets a glossing over of about thirty seconds, the Vita gets about a minute of the video.
It’s a very short video then, but it succinctly wraps up PlayStation’s portable consoles, though unfortunately it all seems more like an advert for the Vita rather than a nostalgia filled, documentary style trip down memory lane, as we’ve had with previous videos.
Who knows what tomorrow will hold, though we can be sure we’ll see something about a PS4 at around 11pm on Wednesday. Maybe they’ll skip a day or just maybe they’ll focus on PlayStation Mobile. Is that enough of an evolution to merit its own video?

Is it sad that I stayed up for this video?
Loving the videos. Not its not sad. We’re all playstationists here. You’re amongst friends yo :-)
It did make me yearn for the XMB of the PSP – I can live with the bubbles of the Vita, but I’d love to have the option of using the older one…
I’m with you there! It’s a shame the games, music etc on the memory card were hidden under an icon rather than appearing under the category like on the ps3, it always looked a bit bare.

Well, it has only been out for less than a year!
The only Sony gaming product I couldn’t get on with was the PSP.
I could, with the PSPgo :)
True I miss the pause game function on Vita.
