Assassin’s Creed IV’s PlayStation 3 Exclusive Content Also Available On PlayStation 4

The bonus sixty minutes of gameplay that PlayStation 3 owners will see with Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed IV will also be present on the next-gen PlayStation 4 version, according to official sources.

The pirate-themed Black Flag will feature, presumably, the exact same experience across both platforms, so although this latest Creed will obviously release on PlayStation 3 before the PlayStation 4 releases, it’s likely that it’ll be identical exclusive content.

The additional content will be downloaded over the PlayStation Network “after the game’s launch”, according to the press release.

The press release naturally makes no mention of next-gen Microsoft platforms, instead only confirming that the game will release on Xbox 360, although the way “other next generation consoles” is presented with a plural pretty much locks down the game for an Xbox 720 release too.

Those looking to invest early into next gen may then decide to wait and see what the differences are instead of jumping into the PS3 and 360 versions.

If the leap to PS4 is huge that’s me on board day one. I need a pay rise.

  3. Will wait for the PS4 version then, thanks. Plenty of time to work through the rest of AC3… and the rest of my PS3 backlog!
