The first screens for what looks like Thief 4 have appeared this afternoon.
It’s not clear whether this is a game aiming at this or the next generation, but the art style certainly looks like Dishonored to us.
The source, a Russian website called GameMag.ru, mentions something called “Xbox 720″ – we’ll let you be the judge of that.
Update: apparently this is Game Informer’s next cover game. They say the game is due in 2014 and is for next-generation consoles and PC. So there.

Thief 4,Diablo3,Sacred3 and Dragon age 3 the future is bright the future is orange.
Dishonored looked like the previous Theif games, so you can’t really say Theif 4 looks like Dishonored. Still looks good though, but I’d say they were from this gen.
Yeah I was thinking that too. Never played the old Thief games, are they stealthy types?
Yeah, you played a thief (called Garret) set in a steampunk world, and being stealthy was the main point of the game.
Thief: Deadly Shadows on the Xbox was a great game. It was developed by Ion Storm shortly before they broke up and had dynamic sound and lighting systems that made for an excellent stealth environment. I really should go back and have a look at that again…
Well Gameinformer is Supposed to reveal a Next gen game today so this might be the game.
I haven’t played any of the Thief games so i’m interested in trying this out if it’s half as good as Dishonored.
This is the original Stealth-em-up. Far, far better stealth mechanic that Dishonoured which I could not get one with.
Dishonoured had a stealth mechanic?
GI have confirmed this is for Next Gen. Mention PS4, PC and other next gen consoles. No mention of Wii U though. Game story follows Garret who is looking for riches, while the City deals with a plague and a tyrant. Different paths to complete missions.
Almost a next gen Dishonored.
Someone who knows about the cover also said that the game’s title wouldn’t have a 4 in it. I’ve read that on neogaf.

My first thought was “Dishonored”.
My first thought when i saw dishonored was “looks a lot like thief”
omg I can’t wait for this game. I’ve been checking their website every few months for the past 3-4 years! Thief 1, 2 and 3 are my ultimate nostalgia games.
I’ve got all 3 knocking around at home somwhere. Always got stuck when they threw in the zombies and supernatureal stuff. Garret is not a hand to hand expert.
I much preferred this to Dishonoured as you very rarely go full combat as he just couldn’t cope with more than one person at a time.
