PS Vita Firmware 2.11 Sneaks out

Bursting bubbles.

Following last week’s mostly triumphant firmware update for the PS Vita (which introduced plenty of new features, not least of which was the ability to put apps and games into folders) comes another, albeit much more minor, update.

Firmware 2.11, released to everyone today, simply, according to the platform holder, “improves system stability and the playback of some titles” – the usual vague, not terribly helpful change-log issued when Sony just do a few little patches.

So, yeah, if you’ve been having problems with the odd game and 2.11 fixes it, let us know.

I thought they were going to cut the frequency of updates.

Probably these small updates are Sony fighting against the CFW brigade.

Probably, a fix for bugs in 2.10. I did have a couple of crashes after 2.10.

Even firmwares are getting early patches now…
On a more serious note, improved system stability is always a good thing. I believe we’re getting a lot of fixes for Japanese titles as well.
