News Snatch: Batman Arkham Origins, Okami And Metro Last Light

Not much going on today, just a few little odds and sods to round up, starting with a trailer for Lost Planet 3, the video gives a first look at the multi player part of the game. Teflon recently got his grubby mits on the game so look out for his preview around 9am tomorrow.

2K will reveal their new shooter in a few days and it appears to have moved back to being part of the XCOM franchise.

“Firaxis’ critically acclaimed turn-based strategy title, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, has reignited the classic franchise and we feel that the time is right to deliver a new experience within the world of XCOM,” said 2K. “The game has evolved into a high-stakes narrative experience imbued with core XCOM concepts.”

Batman Arkham Origins is rumoured to include – yay – a multi player component. It is alleged that you will play as part of Joker or Bane’s gang and give Batters and Robin a good thrashing.

Health news: According to new research, playing Tetris can fix lazy eyes. Traditional methods involve the use of an eye patch but Dr Robert Hess from McGill University said “It’s much better than patching, much more enjoyable, it’s faster and it seems to work better.”

The Okami Twitter feed has sprung to life, “I have the feeling we’ll be able to drop a fresh announcement like WHAM! around the beginning of Golden Week, so please look forward to it.”

  1. “core xcom concepts”?

    BEE ESS

and what’s this “sunshine” you speak of? o_O

  2. Oh no, more unnecessary multiplayer by the sounds of it (Batman). I hope it doesn’t dilute the SP experience.

  3. Russell Howard could do with a few sessions of Tetris to fix his (self proclaimed) wonky eye. :)

  4. Oh. And Metro Last Light looks ace…..I’m off to pre-order it right now.
