Today should see the release of the imaginative platformer, Thomas Was Alone on PS Vita and PS3. For those of you who haven’t yet had the chance to enjoy it on PC, and even for those who have but want to hear the developer’s commentary, it’s well worth downloading. That’s free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, too. You might even want to drop a couple of pounds on the brand new DLC levels for it.
God Mode is a third person multiplayer, cooperative shooter that puts you and some friends (or randoms) into wave-based arenas with ancient mythical creatures and modern weaponry. It looks a bit weird but solid enough.
There’s a release for Injustice: Gods Among Us and some add-on packs for it too. That’s priced at the odd figure of £47.99 with a £11.99 Season Pass and some other, cheaper bits and pieces like the Blackest Night skin for Batman at 79p and a Zombie Mode add-on which reskins every character into a zombie version, also at 79p.
We’re also expecting a digital release for Dead Island: Riptide, a standalone expansion to Deep Silver’s divisive zombie killer. There’s plenty of extra play time here, but from what we know so far it’s mostly built upon exactly the same base as the previous game. That’ll either be a good or a bad thing, depending on which camp you fell into previously.
We’ll update with the full list later, if there’s anything exciting to talk about.
