Call Of Duty: Ghosts - First Official Trailer

It's back. Due later this year, but for which formats...?

This is the first teaser trailer for the new Call of Duty: Ghosts, with regulars Infinity Ward back on development duties for Activision.

Mark Rubin, the studio’s executive director said “We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty.”

“So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can’t wait to share them with our community.”

So, something to breathe a bit of new life into the series and go along with the new hardware – on a new game engine that’s long overdue. That all sounds quite exciting to us!

It’s out in November.

A full reveal is coming at Microsoft’s Xbox Event on the 21st.

I generally don’t get too excited from teaser trailers, but this one has me counting down the days until the 21st!

I guess that blows the idea of it being an Xbox exclusive then.

It’ll likely have some timed DLC or something.

Yeah, makes sense that MS and Acti will keep their close relationship if they’re showing it off at the xbox event.

They’re certainly saying all the right things. I’ve only picked up MW2 and i quite enjoyed the story, but sucked at the multiplayer. This sounds promising.

Defined a generation of gaming? Yes. Much like Stock, Aitken and Waterman defined a generation of music. Shit, derivative music which lowered standards and devalued the market.

Yeah, they are taking a real risk by releasing another Call of Duty game. What a schmock.

30 day exclusive on DLC like CoD has been for some time?
60mins exclusive game play like Destiny on PlayStation?
Be surprised if it’s anything more.

Not a fan of Infinity Ward’s work, their games seem little more than the fantasies of a 13yr old boy.

Think Treyarch have done some interesting things within the tight parameters of the franchise & I’d like to see what Sledgehammer do, those guys at the top did a great job with Dead Space when they lead EARS/Visceral

I’d say Treyarch cater more to little boy fantasies. Zombies, ray guns, ‘future laser tech’.

I personally prefer Infinity Wards games, Treyarch are okay.

Get the fuck in there. Will be getting this for the PS4, and love that they’re using a new engine too. I said they would, and I thought it was a given, but nearly everybody said ‘nah, Activision milk COD, they’ll use the same engine to save money’. Safe to say I told you so.

Indeed it has. The PS3 generation engine was ridiculously stretched.

Whilst a new engine should revamp things majorly, I am looking forward to seeing if those rumoured features are implemented (the sliding, rolling, interactive load screens etc).

Cool trailer. I’d have preferred to see some actual gameplay, but I guess I’ll have to wait till the 21st. A new engine is long overdue, so it will be good to see what they do with it.

Was laughing at his “mask” at the end as well. Looks more like a bag with some eye holes cut in it :P

Would of preferred him to have some of the cool masks that the people before had.
