The steel book encased version includes an additional playable scene with, Sony tell us, 30 minutes of new gameplay.
It’ll also include several behind the scenes videos, the official soundtrack and a dynamic theme and avatar pack.
Beyond was recently shown at the Tribeca film festival, selected sections of which can be seen here in a 35 minute gameplay section, although anyone wanting to go in cold should avoid it.
Anyone tempted can choose from Amazon, Zavvi or Sainsbury’s. Other retailers are likely to follow suit, but those are the first three to have it up for pre-order.
It’s around £45. Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream’s (of Heavy Rain fame) last PS3 title is released at the beginning of October.

Boo! I hate steel books and I hate that they are linking extra content to it. I can’t seem to get myself excited for it. David Cage hyping the crap out of anything he touches has become kind of a buzz kill after Heavy Rain.

I’ve just checked Gamestop.ie and they don’t have it listed there, although they have the game listed with a price of € 64.97, which seems a bit steep so maybe… i’ll pop in on my lunch break tomorrow and see.

Dilemma time, want the extra content as I loved the taxidermist extra with heavy rain (wish they’d done more of them!) but I’m in the middle of exam revision by then & am trying to avoid temptation! Don’t need no distractions!!
