Polytron Announces Fez 2 At E3

Indie puzzler gets sequel.

It’s the news many indie fans have been waiting for: Polytron Corporation has confirmed that Fez 2 is now in development.

Announced during the Horizon indie press conference, the follow-up to last year’s smash-hit puzzler is once again being helmed by outspoken developer Phil Fish with Disasterpiece returning to work on the game’s soundtrack.

And that’s just about all we have at the moment. Polytron has yet to come forward with available platforms, the game’s premise or a release date. Speaking of which, don’t expect Fez 2 to be waiting just around the corner. The original game took some five years to develop, part of which was documented in Indie Game: The Movie.

Earlier this year it was reported that Polytron is “in talks” with Sony to bring Fez to the PlayStation Network.

I’m still waiting for a Vita version of the first game.

It would be very pretty on the screen, also the back pad would make the controls really smooth i think! I now demand it!

Really thought Fez 1 would have been announced for the PSN and more importantly PS Vita by now?
Hopefully both 1 and 2 will be out on the Vita at some point. Never played the game but always though it looked really cool and was miffed it was Xbox only!

I’ve never played it, but I get the impression it’s one of those indie games that everyone should play, like Journey or Flower.
