News Snatch: WWE 2K14, Crackdown For Xbox One And Stop-Motion Zelda

Quite a lot to get through today starting with a glorious mash up of Coronation Street and The Chippendales (ask yer mum), aka WWE 2K14.

First Person Pac-Man is utterly terrifying, tickle this link to give it a go.

Patch Snatch: The Data Patch G for Crysis 3 should be live on all formats as of today, there are no major bug fixes just a few tweaks to weapons.

Also patched is the Miiverse on Wii U which doubles the amount of characters and you can now filter older posts.

Final patch of the day is for Injustice: Gods Among Us which has had all sorts of tweaks including “a slightly bigger hitbox on the Walking Corpse.” For full details click here.

Coming to PlayStations 3 and Vita is CounterSpy, check out the freshly released announcement trailer.

Planetside 2 will be updated in August and will allow gamers to create their own missions.

“PlanetSide 2 has always embraced the idea that the core game content is totally player driven, so the mission system just takes that idea a little further. We want to give players (with appropriate command certs) the ability to create mission hotspots on the map that can be viewed by their entire Empire.”

“Oh… Crackdown is one of my favourite games, and not just because it’s a Microsoft first-party game… No, I don’t think Crackdown is dead at all. It’s a franchise that’s still close to me… For me, the natural progression for a game like Crackdown – and you see this showing up on our stage – is in these living, open worlds that live in the cloud.”

You big tease, Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer.

The Game Critics have voted and declared TitanFall as the best game of E3 and in the process set a new record for most E3 nominations in the history of the Game Critic Awards.

Second place was a tie between Destiny and Watch Dogs with Battlefield 4 and The Elder Scrolls Online in joint third.

A tweet from the Xbox Support account suggests your old Xbox 360 headset may work with the Xbox One. “We are working to develop an adapter for current wired headsets to connect. More details as we approach launch.”

Limbo hits iOS next week and a press release reveals the game has already sold a staggering 3 million copies.

Quantic Dream have placed another job advert for a post involving mobile games having previously advertised for an Android programmer.

Rather than creating a title for phones it seems more likely that they are developing a second screen or companion app for a PS4 title.

I am not sure who is the most stupid, the people who created the malware program hidden inside an Xbox One emulator, or the people who thought that an emulator for a console that has yet to be released might actually exist.

Just in case, http://emulatorxboxone.com/ is fake and will screw up your PC.

The launch of Spartacus Legends has not been smooth, Ubisoft have released a new version for PlayStation 3 “which resolves several serious bugs” whilst the Xbox version is suffering from server problems.

“I have bad news to share: State of Decay has been refused classification by the Australian Classification Board (ACB). We’ve run afoul of certain prohibitions regarding the depiction of drug use. We’re working with Microsoft to come up with options, including changing names of certain medications in the game to comply with ratings requirements. Whatever our path forward, it’s going to take a bit.” – Jeff Strain, Executive Producer, Undead Labs.

And Finally a rather fantastic stop motion Zelda animation.

  1. Titanfall best game of E3 really?! Blimey I think I must of been watching a different E3.

    • Truly lol, the game was nowhere near a “best E3 game”. It’s a good looking shooter, but looking at Destiny’s world design and gameplay, Titanfall looked boring. Even more when looking at the MGS5 trailer or even gamepley hints from Final Fantasy XV. God damn, almost everything looked more interesting than this xD!

      • You are amking this easy for me. Now I don’t have to write my own comment because I fully agree with everything you’ve said. :)

      • Completely agreed, didn’t grab me at all. Such a large range of more interesting titles really makes me wonder who exactly is eligible to vote in this?

    • Me too. It was one of the lesser interesting games on display in my opinion. The Division or Destiny seem like far better choices.

  2. that pac-man fps is nice :)

    • Nice? It’s awesome! If anything shows you how music plays such a pivotal role in games, this is it. Pac-Man is now scary!

      • that is true, I never ran away from a glowing thing like I did when I first sighted one :D

  3. The Zelda action figure animation is cool :D

    • Aye, it was indeed cool. ;)

As for Titanfall being “game of E3″…….my arse. :p

  4. I think the part about Titanfall is misleading. It sounds like Titanfall has already won, which is not the case. Titanfall has been nominated in the most categories but the results of each category will be announced on July 2nd.

  5. Titanfall looked ok, but it’s no Journey! ;)

  6. I think people are just hating on Titanfall because its a MS exclusive thats made by CoD creators. personally I think it looks amazing and it’ll be interesting to see how the cloud affects it, also remember that theres more shown at E3 then what the public gets to see. Destiny looked great too, but I can’t think of any game that won the E3 title that wasn’t amazing, so theres got to be something to Titanfall receiving the record setting nominations.

The irst Crackdown was actually a very fun game, but after the second game I don’t think anybody cares about another game… unless they pack in some more Halo beta keys
