Dominic Monaghan, who played Charlie in Lost and Merry in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, has described his excitement for the “new Uncharted” game.
In a conference call to do with his work on the live-action accompanying series for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, Monaghan said “I’ll always stay focused on the gaming world and see what’s coming up,” following soon after with “The new Uncharted I’m really excited to see how that’s going to be and obviously both new gaming systems.”
Now, he could just be someone like me and you hoping to see a new Uncharted game because we all know that the series isn’t over yet. Or he could know that there’s actually a new Uncharted game coming and could even be involved in it – his acting could surely fit in somewhere.
It’s a Friday, so we might as well get a little bit excited at the tiniest bit of information regarding a new Nathan Drake adventure. Maybe he was actually talking about the mobile mini-game within PlayStation All-Stars Island? Who knows.
He also said that he has his own game idea which he wants to pitch to 2K, and confirmed he would happily take the lead role in a game some day, saying “Yeah, of course. It’s like saying ‘would you eat a whole pizza?’ Yes, I would do that.”
Maybe he’s going pitching the new Uncharted game to 2K in order to get pizza. Since Nolan North doesn’t have a clue about the new Uncharted game, could Monaghan be replacing him?
It’s more likely that he’s just an excited fan like the rest of us.
